Biography
Robinson holds a BA in Public Relations from Brigham Young University, the MFA in Modern Dance from University of Utah, and is currently at the dissertation phase of a PhD in Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education from Michigan State University. His research focus is on leadership and organizational change.

Previously, he served as an Associate Professor of Dance at Brigham Young University, and a Visiting Associate Professor of Music at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Prior to his transition into academia as a teacher/artist he danced professionally with Repertory Dance Theatre (Salt Lake City), Creach/Co. (New York), and Keith Johnson/Dancers (Los Angeles), and in musical theater with the Sundance Summer Theatre (Utah).

In addition to teaching a range of courses in dance, he has enjoyed working across disciplines, teaching in philosophy, theatre/film, and leadership. He has produced a feature-length film, several short films, directed musical theater productions, and created a software package for analyzing live performances. His administrative work includes performing arts management with the Sundance Institute and Brigham Young University. He is currently a member of the National Dance Education Organization (NDEO), The Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE), and is pleased to represent the department at the National Association of Schools of Dance (NASD).
