"Income, security not as important for students majoring in arts"

An article highlights findings from the Strategic National Arts Alumni Project annual report which show that many graduates of arts institutions, ranging from arts-focused high schools like Interlochen Center for the Arts to colleges like University of Michigan, are pursuing their passions over profits. Wayne State University student Samuel Horning changed his major to dance last year after finding that his passion — rather than money and a secure job — was more important to him.
